    OBM’s monthly financial report for August is out and shows that while the state GRF is still running a deficit, revenue and spending for the month came in as planned.

    While the Governor takes a victory lap bragging about his balanced budget, his administration releases numbers which show the GRF is running about $1 billion in the hole and revenue is coming in below estimates. As Ohioans earn less, more of them are now eligible for public assistance, with the potential of throwing the state’s brand new budget out of balance.
