Dispatch, Kasich don’t understand what fiscally prudent means
This weekend the Dispatch published an editorial praising Governor Kasich for his extraordinary ability to be fiscally prudent. The evidence all seem to point to the opposite though – this Governor never was nor will ever be fiscally prudent.

Don’t expand drilling to state parks, says Dispatch editorial
Rumors have it that expanded oil and gas drilling may end up on the Senate version of the Budget and with the House set to vote on its own legislation today the Dispatch came out with a strong editorial against the argument to expand drilling in this state.

Primer: Budget Bill Amendment Types
The clock is ticking for Democratic and Republican Representatives to submit amendments to Governor Kasich’s proposed budget. The Chairman of the House Finance Committee has given a deadline of Friday, April 15th for Representatives to submit amendment proposals to him for consideration into the substitute budget bill. No one will know for sure what will be included in the final substitute version of the bill till it is accepted by the whole committee but we can take preview of what types of amendments we can expect to be included.
