  • Issue 2′s failure and the state budget

    The failure of Issue 2 has been met with a shrug by local governments, who are already coping with declining budgets without it. What hasn’t been as widely reported is that the state budget is completely unaffected by the absence of SB5. Was that a tactical mistake on the Governor’s part?
