Here’s what’s being reported on this omnibus eve regarding yet more amendments that will be included in tomorrow’s budget revisions in the Senate.

Gongwer is reporting:

  • the offensive minimum wage “clarification” language is coming back out
  • changes the threshold for projects to be exempted from prevailing wage
  • provides a tax exemption for a unspecified company’s data center project
  • eliminates changes taking $10 million from the Housing Trust Fund for county recorders
  • decentralize the state’s “E-Check” tailpipe emissions testing facilities
  • study to reorganize government

The Plain Dealer reports:

  • ban on abortions at publicly-funded facilities
  • changes to JobsOhio Governance at the request of the Governor’s office (which they deny has anything to do with being sued) – see below for more details
  • more legislative oversight for Lottery privatization
  • a legislative pay cut (which House republicans have previously rejected and which the Senate refused to pass last General Assembly)

The Dispatch is reporting on many of the same provisions:

  • Removes the Governor as chairman and member of the Jobs Ohio board and makes Chief Investment Officer report to board, not Kasich
  • Removes the requirement that any lawsuits over JobsOhio be filed in the Supreme Court
  • Removes the provision allowing oil and gas drilling in Ohio’s state parks
  • The Democrats proposal to shift the distribution of $115 million more to schools more equitably to poorer, rather than richer districts, will not be among the amendments included in tomorrow’s bill
