If you missed Brent Larkin’s Saturday editorial in the Plain Dealer, decrying the House Republicans and the sweetheart package of amendments inserted into the State budget on behalf of White Hat Management’s David Brennan, you need to read it now. I was going to start quoting a few of its best lines here, but it’s impossible to know where to start. The whole thing is rife with killer quotes.

But let’s just end it where he did:

House Republicans sold out Ohio’s children. Some conscientious Senate Republicans know this and are talking publicly about removing the for-profit charter part of the budget altogether. It’s also time to hear from the governor on this issue.

Ohioans need to be assured that not everyone running their state government is bought and paid for.

We eagerly look forward to the Senate debate to see if education advocates can win the day over profiteers.
